Iron Maiden were back, after a lacklustre decade of mediocre albums, Iron Maiden had retained their golden line-up of the 1980’s. After the massively successful comeback tour Ed hunter, Iron Maiden returned to the studio with enormous pressure on them. One year after their reunion they released Brave New World, would they be as cohesive as they once were and how would they handle 3 guitarists after 20 years of having just two?
The album was a success and very popular among Iron Maiden fans. Although the album didn’t have an outstanding commercial track it didn’t bother Maiden, as they had produced one of the most solid albums of their career. Such songs as ‘Blood Brothers’, ‘Thin line between love and hate’ and ‘Brave New World’, were just as popular as the released tracks ‘The Wicker Man’ and ‘Out of the silent planet’. The album had some less popular tracks such as ‘fallen angel’ and Iron Maiden may not have mastered the sound of three guitars, but that would come later. However, Brave New World was still a fitting return.
